Achieving the images that convey the story I want to tell

David Farmerie will be our guest host on June 1 and June 10. He is anxious to share with us his 40+ years of experiences and knowledge. Be prepared to ask questions of this talented photographer.

David has worked as a photojournalist and documentary photographer for four decades, creating images on-the-fly is what he thrives on. Also, as a freelancer, he must constantly be self-motivated – especially in between assignments – and this is where Personal Projects are especially important. In part one of this two-part presentation, David will share with us his processes for achieving the images that convey the story he wants to tell. He will also share with us how to take on our own Personal Project – from conception to the final output.

Regardless of the genre of photography we are drawn to, “telling a story” is the critical end result – whether it is with one image, or dozens.
